I do almost everything myself, and plan on keeping things that way for a while. In these economic times, you can't really take anything for granted especially not the advantage of making things yourself. My plan is to share all of my DIY tips with you!

Phone Call
Some "dude" from SUNYIT HR called yesterday. Nick tried to call back. No answer. I love phone tag!
It is officially as soon as i know... just turned on my cell and there was a message. An offer was made to Nick for 53,000 with a raise to 56,000 after 10 months... of course he is worth more and I think he is going to try and get them to start at 55,000. Not sure what his next move is, but it should be interesting.
WE can't offically leave till the middle of July. However, I can. So I was thinking that come the end of June, I will start moving some of my stuff back to NY. Nick is going to see if we can do the "Dr. Murphy" route and live in the Dorms in Mohawk. We hear that one of the perks of being a staff or faculty member is that many times they will let you stay there till you find a more suitable place. I want the suite with the kitchen though, so he will have to barter pretty hard. I told him screw the 55,000, take 53,000 and the suite with the kitchen. We did however break the news to his aunt, and she was none so pleased to be the last to know, or that it would be so soon. I think she thought she would have more time.
All that matters is that you're coming back. Nick can stay with me if he wants. I'm sure he'll freak out at the very thought, and realize that I'll make a dog sitter out of him, but he's more than welcome, and I won't be around much away, especially if I can find some poor schmuck to be my dog sitter. I'm really glad you're coming back. We can have a book club.
